Hi Brian,

Just wanted to say that I am hugely impressed and somewhat envious of your painting skills. After a 10 year lay-off, I am now painting again albeit re-learning the techniques I knew before. About 20 years ago I visited the home of Peter Gilder, unfortunately after his death and his wife was kind enough to let me see some of his collection. Keep up the great work!

Just wanted to say what an excellent site you have and some very beautifully painted miniatures. I sent an email with some questions if that is OK?

Cheers

Hi Brian. Great site. I usualy paint larger scale stuff, but your site has inspired me to try my hand at 28mm. Your painting guide had proved indispensible and I look forward to seeing more fabulous workbench results when you post.

Great site. I have returned to painting after many years rebuilding houses/gardens and am now enjoying well earned rest in Portugal where I am completing Front Rank War of Roses Armies. I hope to start soon on my Arab/reconquista armies. Your photographs and painting/flag making advice have proved of great assistance even after more than thirty years of painting. Many thanks, TERRY

Hi Bruce, Thank you for your kind words I am sorry I did not post a battle report of Swiss vs. Burgundians maybe I should have. I promise the next time I will.

The water cooler has since broken and is now surplus to requirements.

Regards
Brian

Brian Phillips (2/08/2006 12:19:12 PM)

Very professional web page -if only Scotland's world cup team could produce so well.

The Burgundians are an inspiration to get mine painted. Love the water cooler - though I might be tempted to put in different contents.

Can I find a battle report for the Partizan 05 Swiss vs. Burgundians anywhere?

Thanks, Bruce H.

Francis

Thank you for your kind words, I have tried to increase my painting skills over the years. As for commissions sorry, I am not accepting any at present.

Brian Phillips (3/02/2006 6:59:19 PM)

first rate work. I first ran into your work seeing figures at the Phoenix club many years ago. If anything you seem to have got better over the years whereas my eyesight and alcohol induced trembling has taken its toll of my very modest skills. Let us know if you are taking commissions!
Francis Healy-McAdam (2/02/2006 1:42:59 PM)

Thanks Steve

your kind words are appreciated I do try and get the best out of every figure I paint. The key is practice and looking at other painters I am always learning something new.
